- We are playing football.
- We are out of the bottom three.
- We played Droylsden off the park at their place.
- We thrashed Frickley when they were on a great
run.
- We matched a Conference team - Southport - in the
Trophy for seventy minutes until the referee lent them a
hand.
- We are getting the best crowds in the Division. And
they're better than most of the Conference too.
- We got a crowd of 2,400 for the game against
Winsford.
- We have an honest and hard working board.
- We don't have Steven Vaughan as chairman.
- The programme produced at Barrow is a good one,
despite what several people have said on this forum. If
you think you can do better then lend a hand.
- We have one of, if not the, best ground in the
Division.
- We have a few top quality players - Neil Doherty,
Nicky Peverell, etc.
- We have an excellent and informative website.
- We have a supportive MP.
- We have a great spirit amongst the fans, the events
of the Summer showed this.
- Sandgrounder does not support Barrow.
- We have an excellent fanzine (blush, blush).
- We weren't the team that Winsford United recorded
their first victory over.
- We have the chance of winning something in the
Marsden Trophy. Not the most prestigious of Cups, but
Doncaster restored a lot of pride and optimism by winning
the Mickey Millan Trophy last season.
- We will be back in the Conference sooner rather than
later.
This one's been everywhere before it
appeared here - namely, the Barrow AFC web site fans' forum,
Holker Street Newsletter no. 539, 13 January 2000 and
G'EB! issue 043 - Jan 2000.
